Night
End of evening civil twilight to the beginning of morning civil twilight, or such other period between sunset and sunrise as may be prescribed. (PIL.14/19 §4.2(k))
Command time
Designated command, with PICUS and SPIC. Countersignature must carry the certifying pilot’s name, signature and licence number — stricter than EASA. (PIL.14/19 §4.3.10)
Cross-country
A flight between a point of departure and a point of arrival following a pre-planned route, using standard navigation procedures. No distance threshold. (PIL.14/19 §4.2(a))
Cruise relief co-pilot
Named explicitly, and logs all time as co-pilot when occupying a pilot’s seat. Defined as relieving the co-pilot during cruise in multi-pilot operations above FL 200. EASA does not name this role. (PIL.14/19 §4.1.3(c))
Series of flights
Same-day flights returning to the same departure point with under 30 minutes between may be a single entry — identical to EASA. (PIL.14/19 §4.3.5)

Is Qatar’s logbook format the same as EASA’s?
Very nearly. QCAR uses the clause number FCL.050 itself, keeps civil-twilight night and the no-distance cross-country definition, and publishes a 12-column pro-forma that is AMC1 FCL.050 with the numbering compressed. The practical difference is the countersignature.
What does a QCAA countersignature have to include?
Name, signature and licence number of the certifying commander or instructor, entered in the Remarks column for any PICUS or SPIC time. EASA asks only for a countersignature, so a record kept to EASA habits will be missing the licence number.
