DGCA — India

Directorate General of Civil Aviation. Verifying Not yet confirmed against a primary source.

Governing rule. Aircraft Rules 1937, Rule 67A “Log books of flight crew personnel and logging of flight time”

Night

Commonly cited as thirty minutes after sunset until thirty minutes before sunrise. Not yet confirmed against the Aircraft Rules.

Command time

Position flown, close to the Canadian model. Not confirmed in full.

Cross-country

A 300 NM figure appears in a licensing-experience context. It is not established as a per-flight logging threshold.

What is still missing. Rule 67A verbatim, and the personal-logbook columns from CAR Section 7 Series B. The FDTL scheme (Series J Part III) is verified and in force, but it is the licensing series that carries the logbook page — and it defines local night and night duty as fatigue constructs, neither of which is the logging definition.

This page stays up while the work is outstanding. A page padded to look complete would be the thing we criticise others for.

Every rule above is read from the authority’s own legislation and recorded with the clause it came from. Where we have not confirmed something, the page says so. See all fourteen authorities and their verification state →
